1962年1月11日-2月7日,在北京召开的中央扩大工作会议,有中央、各中央局、各省市自治区党委、地委、县委、重要厂矿党委及军队的负责干部参加,共七千多人。这是中国共产党成立以来举行的规模最大的一次工作会议,人们习惯地称其为“七千人大会”。召开一个七千多人的中央工作会议,规模之大,在党的历史上是空前绝后的,况且是在国家财政极端困难,人民生活极端困苦的情况下,召开这样一个大会,决不是一件轻易决定的事情,其背后必定有极不普通的原因。那么,七千人大会的背后是些什么情况呢?
