Based on the theory of narrative ethics, through narrative text and text analysis, this article explores the narrative and ethical effects of the perspective in The Sound and the Fury and William Faulkner’s criticism of the imbalance of the South Ethical Order after the Civil War. Analysis found that Compton’s three brothers crazy view exposes the sick family ethics, aroused the reader’s ethical resonance. The sudden conversion of multiple narrative perspectives increases the ethical tension between readers and writers or narrators. Faulkner invites readers and narrators to interact with each other and indirectly expresses his critical attitude toward distorted family ethics and his contradictory attitudes toward ethnoethics in the South.
