Analysis found that Compton’s three brothers crazy view exposes the sick family ethics, aroused the reader’s ethical resonance. The sudden conversion of multiple narrative perspectives increases the ethical tension between readers and writers or narrators. Faulkner invites readers and narrators to interact with each other and indirectly expresses his critical attitude toward distorted family ethics and his contradictory attitudes toward ethnoethics in the South.
