编纂于清代前期的佚名韵书《五音通韵》对《字汇》、《正字通》、《广韵》等字书、韵书、韵图多有批评。分析这些相关批评材料,可以考察《五音通韵》编纂者的语音观念,即反对“拘泥旧韵”而重视实际变化的时音观和反对“拘泥方音”、“以韵为则”的语音规范意识。另外,也可以据此了解当时韵书编纂的具体状况。
