学界有人主张中国现当代文学史应该包括海外华文文学,甚至应该包括华人用非华文创作的作品。这表面上扩充了中国现当代文学史的容量,实际上却牵涉到文学的民族身份认同和国别主体确定。如果片面地从中国立场思考问题,一个良好的愿望也可能引发国际政治和文化冲突。东南亚华文文学,在其国别主体认同问题上尤其敏感。海外华文文学,我们可以研究它,但不能用中国现当代文学学科来包涵它。 Some scholars in the academic circles have argued that the history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature should include overseas Chinese literature and should even include Chinese works written in non-Chinese languages. This ostensibly expands the capacity of the history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature, in fact, it involves the identification of the national identity of literature and the determination of the national subject. If one-sided thinking from a Chinese standpoint, a good aspiration can also spark international political and cultural conflicts. Southeast Asian Chinese literature is particularly sensitive to the issue of identity recognition of its country subject. Overseas Chinese literature, we can study it, but can not use Chinese contemporary literature to cover it.
