In the summer of 2000, a plague epidemic occurred in a county in Guangxi Province. In the subsequent 6 months, 42 human plague cases were reported. Clinical and serological investigations were conducted on the suspected cases and effective antibiotics were used. The report is as follows. 1 Materials and methods 1 1 source of the case of epidemic area within the temporary isolation and treatment of suspected cases of hospital admitted, and according to "People’s Republic of China national standard
