计算机网络技术一直在飞速发展,网络的传输和交换速度不断提高,新的应用层出不穷,在网络技术的发展过程中,Internet尤其令人瞩目。由于Internet的巨大成功,IP协议成为网络的标准协议。在这种情况下,人们发现目前现有的通信网络,不能适应未来数据通信不断增长的需求。如果能够把目前独立存在的三大网络,即数据通信网、语音通信网(主要是电话网)和视频网(主要是有线电视网)合并成一个网络,将大大提高应用的效率并可节约很多成本。在企业网的建设方面,网络一体化的优势表现得更为突出,而且就目前的技术实现数据、语音和视频集成的一体化网络已经比较成熟,各个主要的网络公司都推出了自己的产品和解决方案。不久前,Cisco系统公司亚太区顾问工程师经理麦启雄先生畅谈了在企业网的建设中如何实现这种一体化网络的有关问题。
