I sat alone in a seat, until a train arrived in Rohana came up a girl. The couple who gave her leave may be her parents, who seem to be unhappy about the girl’s trip. The wife gave her a detailed account of her where the thing should be placed, not holding her head out of the window, avoiding talking to strangers, and so on. I am a blind person, so I do not know what the girl looks like, but I know she wore a pair of flip-flops on the flip-flop sound from her heel. “How crisp and sweet her voice is!” “Did you go to Dehradun?” I asked her when the train was out, and I must have been sitting in a gloomy corner because my voice was shocked by her, She screamed low and said, “I do not know if there’s anyone here.”
