公牛尿道炎在国内外报导甚少。但本病在扬州地区颇为常见,据我院兽医院1966～1977年期间的统计并有完整记录的共计81例(其中水牛79例、黄牛2例),占该期间213例泌尿系统疾病的38％,居首位。从81例尿道炎的情况来看,其病因比较复杂,临床上又以尿路阻塞为基本特点,很易和尿道结石相混淆,治疗上也比较麻烦且常带来一系列继发症和并发症。现就所见81例作一比较全面的总结,并对若干问题进行讨论。
