以国共合作抗日为基础的抗日民族统一战线的形成 ,乃是由于新的历史环境决定的 ,这就是日本帝国主义要灭亡全中国。这种历史事实 ,使国内各个阶层、各个党派、各个集团之间的相互关系发生着变化。各阶级、党派、集团的一切抗日力量 ,一致认识到民族斗争是主要的 ,民族利益高于一切 ,抗日利益高于一切。共产党首先热情倡导抗日民族统一战线 ,并主动与国民党谈判。国民党也逐渐改变政策 ,转到与国内各党派团结抗日的立场。由此可见 ,在民族矛盾成为主要矛盾的历史环境下 ,抗日救国就是全民族的共同利益 The formation of the anti-Japanese national united front based on the Kuomintang-Communist cooperation and resistance against Japanese aggression was decided by the new historical environment, which means that the Japanese imperialists will perish all over China. This historical fact has brought about a change in the interrelationship among all walks of life, parties and groups in the country. All anti-Japanese forces of all classes, parties and groups unanimously recognized that the national struggle is the major one, that the national interests are above all else and that the anti-Japanese interests are above all else. First, the Communist Party enthusiastically advocated the anti-Japanese national united front and took the initiative to negotiate with the Kuomintang. The Kuomintang also gradually changed its policy and shifted to the standpoint of unite with all parties in the country in resisting Japan. Thus it can be seen that under the historical environment in which ethnic conflicts have become the major contradiction, the anti-Japanese and national salvation is the common interest of the entire nation
