青花是我国传统釉下彩的优秀遗产之一,它那鲜明而独特的艺术风格至今仍有强烈的艺术魅力.历史在发展,时代在前进,对于传统青花装饰艺术不能死守祖宗的遗产过日子.辩证的看,一部中国陶瓷史,是一部不断发展的创新史.要搞好青花的创新,首先要搞清楚学习传统和创新的关系.学习传统和创新是两个不同过程而又相互联系相辅相成的整体.学传统的根本目的是发展是创新,而创新又必须借鉴吸收传统.结合实际,临摹元、明、清有代表性的青花,总结其艺术风格和规律,对传统青花的艺术才有比较实在的了解和认识.但是,也不一定非要把传统青花学个十年八年才创新,只能边学传统边创新交替进行.
