现在媒体到处都在热炒“IT(信息技术)革命”。其实,类似IT革命的说法早在七八十年代甚至更早就出现了。当今人们再次热烈谈论的IT革命,其实是指1995年互联网开始普及所引起的“互联网革命”,这场革命将计算机普及所引起的信息技术革命推向了新高潮、新阶段,形成为一次真正的新产业革命。互联网革命具有以下几方面的意义。引起了一次新产业革命,并大大刷新了产业革命的速度。
