In 2008, the mass media in the United States showed a declining trend after the crowds. The external cause was the sluggish economy in the United States. The internal root cause was the optimization of media ecology after the mergers and acquisitions frenzy. The optimization of media ecology determines that all kinds of big media are in a relatively static market position of relative balance of power. This relatively balanced situation results in no excessive wave of acquisitions. Therefore, the process of American media collectivization shows a declining trend. And because of the poor overall economic environment in the United States, some major media groups are forced to extend some of their functions abroad through small-scale acquisitions.
