With the rapid development of China’s shipbuilding industry, the demand of cold formed sections continues to surge and Cold forming equipment and technology has also been a rapid development. Profile bending machine that has used adjustable from three-point concentration Bending theory is profile bending equipment.Firstly,this paper discusses the background of the subject, purpose and meaning,and introduces the control method of forming profiles,then presents a new control method for cold forming which is based on non-endpoint called chord angle detection control method.This method abandoned many shortcomings of the past endpoint control method.For example:large testing organizations that not only cover a great area,costs higher,installs difficult,operates inconvenience,maintains difficult,but also cause its rail wear and deformation, resulting in a decline in precision processing equipment and Forming the profile errors. This control method also uses mathematical theory, graphic drawing and experimental method to validate correctness and feasibility of chord angle detection control method. Chord angle detection and control method proposed in this paper is the first point of innovation.According to the proposed requirements of chord angle detection and control method, must improve the original rollers feeding and the ordinary hydraulic cylinder feeding to avoid feeding error and accumulated error.Firstly,this paper explores the problem of feeding length and fulcrum distance to indicate the direction to improve feeding mechanism.The improvement of the feeding mechanism includes the design of the feeding cylinderand the selection of electro-hydraulic proportional directional valve and displacement sensor. Improved feeding mechanism uses servo hydraulic cylinder instead of rollers and ordinary hydraulic cylinder.then the feed is accurate, fulcrum distance is adjustable, makes full use of raw materials, reducts the shipbuilding cost, improves the quality of the profiles forming.The left and right servo feeding cylinders achieve respectively about the direction of individual feeding, rotational feeding and feeding operation continuous, stable, high-speed and meet production requirements now.The improvement of feeding mechanism is the second innovation of this paperand.It adopted the novelty of Guangdong Science and Technology Information Institute.This paper also uses simulation technology to carry out the theoretical study and practical verification to improve the feeding mechanism of the right or not. Using AMESim and Simulink in the MATLAB software carrys out modeling and simulation。Design fuzzy sliding mode control algorithm in the simulation and overcome the hydraulic system with nonlinear, dead zone, hysteresis, and other shortcomings of time-varying parameters. The response of hydraulic feeding mechanism verifies its feasibility and correctness. Analysis of simulation results proves that the feeding mechanism of the improvement is feasible and correct and meets the requirements of the precision profile bending machine.
