The chemical study of the stems and roots of Stauntonia brachyanthera Hand-Mazz resulted in the isolation of eight new oleanane-type triterpenoid saponins, brachyantheraosides A, A1-A5, B6 and B9, along with ten known compounds.Their structures were determined by extensive 1D and 2D NMR experiments, along with HRESIMS analysis following acid hydrolysis.
