  The topology optimization method combined with finite element analysis techniques,is a mathematical method to determine the best layout of the material with the given load cases,constraints and objective.Topology optimization is popular among engineering designers,because it can provide an innovative design that doesnt depend on the initial configuration and engineer experience,and has the greatest contribution to the light weight of the structure compared with the size and shape optimization.It is necessary to consider the stability of plate/shell structure because the thin structure is prone to instability.On the other hand,the finite element analysis takes up most of computation burden owing to the reanalysis of structural performance in the process of optimization solution.Consequently,it is also necessary to consider solution strategy of the topology optimization.
