Innate immune signaling pathways are conserved from insects to human. For example, Drosophila melanogaster Toll pathway is similar to mammalian Toll-like receptors (TLRs) pathways, and Imd (immune deficiency) pathway shares similarities with mammalian TNF-α pathway. But insect signaling pathways also differ from mammalian pathways in the recognition processes.
