The Human immunodeficiency virus type 1(HIV-1)fusion process is an important step for the development of drugs to prevent virus infection.Peptides corresponding to the N-(HR1)and C-terminal(HR2)heptad-repeat regions of HIV-1 gp41 envelope glycoprotein,N and C peptides,are potent inhibitors of viral fusion.
