Based on Microbial Volatile Organic Compounds to Detect the Vibrio Parahaemolyticus

  Nowadays foodbome diseases mainly caused by food borne pathogens are emerging public health concern worldwide.Thus,fast and effective approaches for detection the pathogens are vital.It is known that volatile organic compounds (VOCs) produced by different microorganisms are different,so the approach studying the regularity and characteristics of VOCs can be used to identify the pathogenic bacterias.The V.parahaemolyticus are important hazards in seafoods products,we detect the VOCs of V.parahaemolyticus by using the comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry (GC×GC-TOFMS),the results shown that the main VOCs generated by V.parahaemolyticus were alcohols,esters,aldehydes,ketones,hydrocarbons and heterocyclic compounds,in addition,the analysis found that the content of 2-Tridecanone was gradually increased with the incubation time extension.So in this study,the comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography-time-of-flight mass spectrometry could be a rapid and accurate detection technology for foodbome pathogens and the 2-Tridecanone can be regarded as a marker of detecting the V.parahaemolyticus.
