Application of modulators based on nonlinear Kerr-effect,such as nonlinear polarization evolution,nonlinear optical loop mirror(NOLM),nonlinear amplifying loop mirror(NALM) or physical saturable absorbers like single-walled carbon nanotubes(SWCNTs),graphene and their combinations are easy to implement into fiber laser cavities to achieve all fiber configuration.
