Organic complexing ligands dominate the chemical speciation of Zn in seawater,affecting its bioavailability and regulating its micronutrient role.The use of modern,comprehensive mathematical tools allows for the determination of very precise ligand parameters from the voltammetry data,so that ligand maturation along water mass trajectories can be inferred from discrete samples.
