Several nitrate and ammonia transporter genes in root of wheat has been cloned in previous studies, but little is known about the seasonal expression patterns of these transporter genes up to now.In present study, seasonal expression of four nitrate transporter genes (NRT2.1, NRT2.2, NRT2.3) and two ammonia transporter genes (AMT1.1 and AMT1.2) were studied in roots of two wheat cultivars with higher (XY107) and lower (XY6) abilities in N uptake.
