In order to determine the variation law of soil temperature in the maize field irrigated from the film hole,the contrast trial of film hole irrigation and common irrigation method was carried out in Ningxia irrigation district diverting water from Yellow River.It is showed that the variation law of soil temperature in maize field totally was identical between the two disposals,the neighboring soil layer differences of temperature were smaller in the birth earlier period,and became larger in the birth later period.With the soil depth increase,soil temperature was reducing,the temperature difference between neighboring soil layers was decreasing,influence of outside on soil temperature was weakening,temperature diurnal amplitude was diminishing,and diurnal phase was lagging.However,compared two disposals,the average soil temperature was higher,and the soil temperature difference between them was bigger in the upper layer and became weaker in the down layer in the maize field irrigated from film hole than the maize field irrigated in common irrigation method.
