　　Alternative lengthening of telomeres(ALT)is a telomerase-independent telomere maintenance mechanism implicated in 10-15%of cancers.It has been shown that activation of the STING-dependent cytosolic DNA sensing pathway suppresses tumorigenesis,but the cellular sources of self-DNA remain speculative.
