As a new marker of inflammation,α1-antitrypsin(AAT) modulates immune and inflammatory process through its inhibition of severalserine proteases.Until recently,series of studies have demonstrated the benefits of AAT,and gene mutations leading to AATdeficiency related to severe disorders,such as emphysema and aneurysm of the aorta.However,the relationship between AAT andCHD were not consistent.Different clinical types showed different trends.
