Recently,fluorescent probes have been intensively developed to detect specific biomolecules and monitorbiological events.In particular,many probes based on bis(Zn2+-dipicolylamine)(dipicolylamine = DPA)complex have been synthesized to detect phosphate-containing biomolecules because this complex stronglybinds to phosphate or diphosphate groups in water.There are many other kinds of phosphate-containingbiomolecules that may play critical roles in a living system.However,selective detection methods for thosebiologically important phosphobiomolecules have not yet been established.
