The environmental relative humidity varies along with the seasons, which makes the change of internal humidity in concrete[l].There is an evaporation process of moisture within concrete when the environmental humidity is lower than the concrete internal humidity.Conversely, the environmental moisture is diffused into the concrete[2].The moisture content has a significant impact on the elastic modulus of concrete, thus affecting the natural vibration characteristics of the concrete structure[4].Lhasa of Tibet is selected as the example in this paper, where the environmental humidi ty changes in a wider range.According to the correlation data of relative humidity in different seasons, the corresponding internal relative humidity of concrete can be obtained by using the mass transfer theory[3].Then the changes of the natural vibration characteristics of concrete pier are further analyzed based on the influence law of the moisture content on elastic modulus of concrete[5][6].
