Alternaira Nees is a genus of fungi that can result in important plant diseases on corn, vegetables and fruits.In this study, 41 strains of Alternaria preserved in Agricultural Culture Collection of China (ACCC) were checked by their morphological characters and rDNA ITS and allergen Alt a1 gene sequences.Among these isolates, 20 strains were identified to 15 species as Altemaria altemate, A.atrans, A.brassicicola, A.broccoli-italicae, A.gaisen, A.japonica, A.limoniasperae, A.longipes, A.mali, A.nelumbiicola, A.porri, A.senecionicola, A.solani, A.tenuissima and A.zinniae.The rest 21 strains were identified to different groups.
