Methanol tolerant Pt-based oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) electrocatalyst are highly desirable for the direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC).[1] In this study,we report the synthesis of carbon-supported Pd@Pt core-shell (Pd@Pt/C) nanostructured catalyst through galvanic replacement reaction combined with Kirkendall effect with Ni as sacrificial template.
