Recently,oligo(ethylene glycol) (OEG) functionalized poly-L-glutamates were demonstrated to have thermally responsive properties in water.[1,2] Interestingly,their thermally responsive properties not only depended on the subunit structure but also relied on the secondary structure of polypeptide.In particular,the homopolypeptide poly-L-EG2Glu containing two ethylene gylcol units displayed unique amiphiphilic characteristics,and its thermally responsive behaviors and secondary structure had strong dependence on the molecular weight.
