Aim: Dimethylarginine dimethylaminohydrolases 1 (DDAH1) is the major enzyme responsible for inactivation of endogenous nitric oxide (NO) synthases inhibitor asymmetric dimethylarginine (ADMA).Besides the DDAH1 transcript variants 1 and 2 (V1 and V2), we identified a novel human DDAH1 transcript variant designated as DDAH1-V3 (V3) here.
