Exploring the trust mechanism of business model of sharing platforms

  With popularize in business platform,sharing economy has been emerging by the factor of the economic recessions,the rise of environmental awareness,the progress of network technique,community media popularization.Otherwise,platform enterprises have gradually replaced the linear production enterprises.Platforms change peoples lives and thinking.However,there are few studies issued on platform sharing in the past.Most of related studies focus mainly on community website services,online marketing,the reliability of online transaction security mechanisms,and the sharing of economic innovation.There were few studies exploring the theory and connotation in shared platform.Therefore,the purpose of this research will construct a systematic analysis architecture through trust mechanism,to promote a business model under the shared platform,as well as different types of industry platform between the trust mechanism.The framework consists of "Process Trust","Trust Type" and "Institutional Trust".In this study,Uber and Airbnb which occupy traffic and market capitalization the most were selected as case study.Data sources include in-depth interviews,secondary data.The methodology in this study includes content analysis and text analysis.In this study,we found that the process trust contains three assessment mechanism: “mutual appraising mechanism”,“third-party mechanism” and “peer-topeer mechanism”.The trust type includes three mechanism: “recognition mechanism”,“feedback mechanism” and “community mechanism”.The institutional trust includes three mechanism: “platform certification”,“government certification”,”third-party certification”.
