  1,3,5-Triisopropylbenzene (1,3,5-TIPB) is mainly used to synthesize 1,3,5-trisphenol, which is an important organic intermediate for flavonoid pharmaceutical product to cure angiocardiopathy, cancer and HIV.It is believed that oxidation of 1,3,5-TIPB to 1,3,5-trisphenol is the preferred and "green"route among all of the 1,3,5-trisphenol synthetic methods because of high yield, low cost and minor environmental hazards.
