The brown planthopper(BPH), Nilaparvata lugens (St(a)l) (Hemiptera: Delphacidae),is one of the most destructive insect of rice.To get a better understanding on the BPH "adaptation" to the resistance rice varieties, the transcriptome data of BPH in response to susceptible rice(Taichung1) and resistance rice(Mudgo with Bph1 gene) was obtained by solexa sequencing method.
