INTRODUCTION High performance polymer fibers can be produced using at least two approaches:rigid rod alignment and chain extension.The first approach is limited since it is largely dictated by the chemical and physical structure of the polymer.The latter represents a more versatile approach given the fact that most known polymers are linear polymers with flexible chains.
