In this paper,we consider the problem of choosing, within a Bayesian modelling framework, from a nite speci ed set of stochastic epidemic models given only temporal removal data.Such selection is based upon two important Bayesian model selection methods, namely Bayes factors via our missing-data extension of the power posterior method, and the deviance information criterion for missing data models(DIC),with more emphasis on the former.
