Research into Artifacts,Center for Engineering (RACE),the University of Tokyo,was established in 1992 to deal with the science of artifactology.In recent years we are confronting many difficult problems,including problems in the environment,the gap between rich and poor,safety and health.We call them "Modern Evils".Mankind has previously produced many things by making use of its wisdom and establishing academic disciplines.
