In this contribution, pharmaceutical applications of modem capillary Gas Chromatography (cGC) are discussed.cGC is compared with more widely used techniques such as liquid chromatography and electro-kinetic separation techniques.Various modes of sample preparation and sample introduction are described with practical examples.Recently published material on Headspace-fast-GC and Headspace fast-GC with low thermal mass heating ovens applied to the analysis of residual solvents is also presented and results of method validation are discussed.
