  The proper categorization of radioactive waste is the base to define its disposal method.It is the base of defining the disposal policy for solid radioactive waste from the front-end of Uranium fuel cycle to identify scientifically the nature of it,in view of the difference on regulation principle between artificial radioactive waste and natural radioactive waste.This paper introduce the disposal policy and practice in China and foreign countries for solid radioactive waste from the front-end of Uranium fuel cycle,and discuss the confusion in disposal of the waste as artificial radioactive waste.The nuclide composition and characteristic of the solid radioactive waste from the front-end of Uranium fuel cycle are investigated in detail,and the new idea that the solid radioactive waste from the front-end of Uranium fuel cycle should be disposed and categorized as natural radioactive waste is put forward in final.
