Aim:To study the antiviral activity of emodin against CVB4 and possible mechanism in vitro and in vivo.Methods:The cytotoxicity of emodin on Hep-2 cell was tested by MTT assay.Three different antiviral action modes were evaluated by MTT assay and plaque reduction assay The in vivo antiviral activity of emodin.After the CVB4 infection model was established in mice by intraperitoneal injection,mice were orally administered with the indicated doses (30,15,7.5 mg/kg/d) of emodin for 14 days.
