Background, Motivation and Objective Piezoelectric ultrasonic atomizer devices find applications from inhalation drug therapy to humidification of living environments. Through the piezoelectric action of a vibrating multi-pinhole membrane, liquid droplets can be discharged easily using simple driving circuits. For perpetual operation of the atomizer devices in droplet formation, the device characteristics may change over time thus weakening the atomization performance with fixed circuit settings. Equivalent-circuit modelling of the ultrasonic devices with prolonged atomization is desirable for performance prediction, circuit design optimization and reliability checking.
