Laccases (EC 1.10.3.2) are copper-containing polyphenol oxidases, that have been found in fungi, plant, and bacteria.Laccase genes were screened on whole genome sequence Flammulina velutipes and the primers targeting laccase genes were designed from genomic sequence information.A fragment approximately 1.6kb in each RT-PCR reaction using genomic DNA of Flammulina velutipes was amplified and cloned into pGEM-T easy cloning vector and sequenced.The cDNA, fvlac7 sequence was compared to that of genomic DNA and resultant 15 introns were found in the genomic DNA sequence.
