Through the analysis of his personality and his analysis of the Song dynasty “ancestral home law ”, this article finds that the conflict between the two is the important reason that caused Kouzhun’s political life. The article further reveals that Kou’s fate reflects the political style of the Song Dynasty and the influence of the autocratic government on the mentality of bureaucrats.
