The cantilevered carbon nanotube is a basic mechanical model in many micro-nano sensors, such as nano-balance and so on.The mechanical mechanism of these sensors is that the change in the conductance or the optical transition behaviour of carbon nanotube is monitored to measure the pressure change around the carbon nanotube sensitively.The oscillation problem of the cantilevered carbon nanotube subjected to a given transverse mass impact is an essential question in these sensors.
