A novel 2D mix-ligand cadmium(Ⅱ)coordination polymerstructure and luminescence

  By the hydrothermal reaction of CdCl2,6H2O with bis-(3,5-dimethylpyrazo-4-yl)methane (DMPM) and 2,6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid (H2PDC), a 2D coordination polymer,[Cd2(PDC)(DMPM)(C1)2(H2O)]n (1)was synthesized, The structure of 1 is noteworthy of presenting a binodal (42,62)(42,62,82) topologized network, based on the [Cd2(PDC)(Cl)2] chains and connecting DMPMs (Figure 1), and showing the dynamical assembly of a quaternary 2D double-layered edifice,In 1, the Cd(Ⅱ) ions are sorted into two types; the Cd(1) has a N2O2Cl2 surrounding, while Cd(2) has a N2O3Cl, Likewise, the tetrazo DMPMs and the chlorides are also classified, playing the roles of bridging and terminal ligands, Noteworthily, the monodentate function of DMPM, as we know, has never been documented.
