  Over the past 30 years,the technique of Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis (SPPS) has matured to the extents that it has become the standard approach for peptide production.However,the synthesis of relatively large peptides,namely with 30 to 70 or even higher numbers of amino acid residues in length,can still be problematic,especially when there is a "difficult sequence" involved.The popularity of the applications of these large peptides in the size of an average protein domain has given peptide chemists great challenges not only to generate products with correct sequences,but also to obtain them with good yields and high quality in a timely fashion suitable for custom service.
