Background: In recent years, pit and fissure sealants had been used for dental public health in a few of big cities in China.As one of the most representative of Chinas big cities, Guangzhou had begun to implement a city-wide school-based pit and fissure sealant program targeted to 2nd grade children during 2011-2013.
