Currently, the most popular commercial phosphors for White light-emitting diodes(WLEDs)mainly rely on the YAG:Ce yellow phosphor. This type of LED shows a low color rendering index(CRI)because of their weak emission in the red spectra region.Semiconductor quantum dots(QDs)were recently proposed to be an attractive candidate due to their stability and high quantum yield(QY).Unfortunately, the available high quality QDs mostly contains cadmium or lead.
