The passive direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) is regarded as a potential power source for portable applications due to its advantages, such as high energy density, easiness in fuel supply and storage, simplicity and reliability. As a key component of the DMFC,the membrane electrode assembly (MEA) provides for function as mass transfer, electron transport and proton transfer.Herein,it is important to modulate the structure of the MEA for the improved performance of the DMFC.
