Background Recent evidence implicates platelet indices are associated with the prognosis of acute aortic dissection (AD).There is,however,no systemic investigation regarding the role of baseline mean platelet volume (MPV) to platelet count (PC) ratio (MPV/PC ratio) in predicting survival of acute AD.This study was to examine the hypothesis that in acute aortic dissection (AD) MPV/PC ratio may predict mortality.
