Spotted barbeil(Hemibarbus maculates) (Cypriniformes,Cyprinidae) is a common economically species in Hemibarbus genus which is widely distributed throughout Chinas rivers and lakes.In this study, we selected four hatchery (Shanghai, Hangzhou, Kaihua and Xianju) and one wild population (Yingshan) as specimens to assess their genetic diversity level and investigate their population genetic structure.
